Geranium Drop in the McDonough Square!
A new year is almost here! Where did the time go? What better way to end the year, than celebrating at the 5th annual Geranium Drop in the McDonough Square! This is a popular and fun event that thousands come out for. Mayor, Billy Copeland will be there to start the party at 8 p.m. on Dec. 31st.
The McDonough Hospitality & Tourism Board and the McDonough Main Street Program have put together this great evening, and it is for all ages. There will be musical entertainment to help you dance your way into the new year. Here are the performers for the night:
8 p.m. – McDonough Rhythm Section
9 p.m. – Mackie Creek Band
11 p.m. – Jason Fowler
12 a.m.- Geranium Drop
If you get hungry during the festivities, visit one of the many restaurants around the square for a variety of delicious foods and drinks. Kirby G’s Diner & Pub has the best burger in town! Several of these Square restaurants will have food and drink specials, so go support local business and get some good food at the same time.
I’m looking forward to another year! I’m sure this event will be a fun way to kick off 2016, so bring your friends and family to the McDonough Square this New Year’s Eve!
